Lieutenant General Maly Socheata, Spokeswoman of the Ministry of National Defence of the Kingdom of Cambodia, wishes to inform the public as well as members of national and international media as follows: On May 13, 2026, certain Thai media outlets reported that Cambodian forces fired 11 rounds at the O’Smach International Border Checkpoint in Oddar Meanchey Province. The Spokeswoman for the Ministry of National Defence of the Kingdom of Cambodia categorically denies these allegations, confirming that they constitute false information and a serious distortion of the truth. The public, as well as national and international journalists, are hereby informed of the facts regarding this matter.
